Last year we put a real tree in our Master, and it was pretty much the most magical thing I’ve ever done. The smell. The lights. It was amazing. So, it was easy to conclude that this year we would be doing the same thing! The only thing different this year…I wanted a slightly smaller tree than last years.
Ya know perception is a fickle thing.
Last years tree tucked nicely in the corner under the TV. I wanted this years tree to also tuck nicely there….but maybe tuck a little more. A little less full.
(Here’s a photo of last years……)
Upon our arrival at the Tree Farm, I very quickly selected a tree. I knew without a doubt that this tree was the one. “It’ll fit so nicely in that corner” I declared.
Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha.
Turns out this tree is at least DOUBLE the size as last years. I. Am. Amazing.
So, with a little rearranging the tree fits. Not at all where I wanted it. Alas. She fits.
I foresee plenty of Hot Cocoa and Christmas Movies here.
My dog, Jack is a real gem photobombing my shoot. Plus I ran out of natural daylight about 20 seconds into shooting….so this is NOT my best work at all. Ah. Oh well.
Maybe next year I’ll take a tape measure to the Tree Farm and do a little measuring.
