Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

A little about me. My name is Jennifer –  I’m an aggressive type A, music loving, coffee drinking, frugal shopping, antique collecting, extreme DIY’ing, old soul who wishes she lived on the set of Little House on the Prairie.

I live in a small rural town in NE Ohio, in a (nearly) century old home with my husband of 10 years, Matt and 2 kids.

My greatest passions and hobbies are designing and decorating our home. Reading books based on the 1800’s. Photography.

My style is vintage farmhouse chic. I am extremely passionate about giving new life to old worn out things.

I love old barns and fence rows. I love Anne of Green Gables and plan to travel to Prince Edward Island so I can see the Lake of Shining Water in person. I love long drives on summer Sunday. I love willow trees. I love to write and believed for a long time that I would grow up and be an author.

I’m grateful and live everyday consumed in my gratitude. I try to live fearlessly.

I am entirely too sarcastic. I’m really good at ruining precious moments with inappropriate awkward humor.

I believe that we all have a purpose and we should spend every waking moment trying to discover that purpose. I value relationships and try to see the good in everyone.

I’m the most impatient person you’ll ever meet. I have an addiction to cupcakes.

Lastly, I’m a dreamer. I choose to chase my dreams with vigor. I trust God with my life every step of the way.

Thanks for being here. Be sure to subscribe to my blog so you never miss a post. I have a lot of important things to say.

Hi, Jennifer! I read that your house might be a kit from Sears or Montgomery Ward. I can’t find a photo that shows the front of the house. Do you have one?

I love your Blog and style and Love reading books from the 1800’s to early 1900’s of the pioneer era. Anne of Green Gables, Little House on the Prairies – I love that simpler life and stories and I read a number of these older Family type books totally absorbing the way of life in the yesteryear I love! Winter is upon us in the Cdn Prairies and is time to hunker down with a stack of good books – I would love if you would share some titles of books from that period that you have enjoyed – thanks!
