Always Stay Humble & Kind

Always Stay Humble & Kind

The title is sort of fitting for this season of life I’m experiencing. There have been a series of events in the last few months of my life….very roller coaster like. Nothing completley life altering mind you, but enough to force me to take a long hard look at life. And to have quite a few heart to hearts with God. I’m so excited about the direction my life is going and I’m learning more than EVER before how important God’s timing is. This particular season has me consumed by overwhelming gratitude, and my constant prayer is to always just stay Humble & Kind.

So….naturally when I came across RPM Woodworking and these really great wood words I instantly fell in love!

I ordered them the night before Thanksgiving and they were at my doorstep within 3 days…Crazy! 🙂 They come as natural wood so you can paint them yourself. I opted for black and I just spray painted a super quick thin coat. Then……my hair brained self decided to hot glue them to the wall. Genius. As I stepped down off my ladder to admire my handy work, I quickly realized I glued them crooked and off center. Brilliant, I tell you. They have been glued to the wall for 2 weeks because I was too afraid to try and take them off – surely it’s going to peel the paint and break the words in half.

Eventually, I mustered the energy to tackle it. To my surprise they popped right off the wall! Whew. So. Here’s a tip for you. Don’t hot glue them to your wall. Get some 3M strips like normal people. I ultimately decided I didn’t even like the original placement of them anyway, so once I popped them off the wall I concocted a new game plan. I had an old shutter in my pile of crap in the basement…..and because I’m so good at learning lessons, I hot glued them to the shutter. This time I was more careful about laying them out just right before gluing. I ended up hanging the shutter on an open wall in the Living Room. They were originally in the Family Room above the tv…. I totally love the outcome….and as long as I don’t change my mind anytime soon, all should be just fine! I still should’ve just bought some 3M strips though.

Go check out RPM Woodworking! They’ve got several styles of word art to choose from!
