First things first. 🙂 I am SO excited to finally announce that I have partnered up with 8 other amazing and talented bloggers for a very exciting collaboration!! I introduce to you, The Repurpose Design Series. This is a branch off of my previous $20 Thrift Store Challenge I have been doing. We (the bloggers) will salvage something from the flea market, thrift store, curb, wherever!! But we can only spend $20. We will each repurpose our find and bring it new life! On April 30th we will reveal our transformed findings on our blogs to show you what we came up with! Starting the week of May 4th, we will be challenging EVERYONE to take the same challenge. Be sure to follow us all on Instagram because we will choose one winner EVERY week and feature your item on our accounts! 🙂 I hope this inspires you (all of you) to create something unique for your home. Something different. As well, salvaging an old worn piece that no one wanted anymore. 🙂 I can’t wait for you all to see what can be done with a measely little $20!!

Now, let’s talk about chalkboards. I saw these super cute DIY picture frames on Pinterest last week that I considered making, but since I like to march to the beat of my own drum, I decided to tweak it just a tad.
It’s really not all that creative or special, but I think they’re so cute! They were fun to make too, so there’s that. 🙂
They have the same build concept as my farmhouse serving trays I sell in my online shop. Minus the handles. I used cheap underlayment boards from Home Depot and painted them with chalkboard paint and then just simply glued (liquid nail) them to the center of the boards. Super super super easy.
I love what a chalkboard can add to a space.
I also had this beautiful old mirror frame that I picked up at a flea market. It’s so cute as a chalkboard too!!
Thanks for stopping! 🙂
