Guest Bedroom Facelift

Guest Bedroom Facelift

I think I’m sick. Or crazy. I don’t know. In the midst of our kitchen reno (which feels like it has taken over my house and my life for the last couple months), the new formal living room that I just finished, my son’s room remodel…….I thought “HEY!!! I should give the guest room a little makeover! Because I have NOTHING else going on”. So one day last week, I did just that. I raided my basement décor room – because that’s what crazy people do. They designate an entire room in their basement for extra décor. Once I had a big pile of décor junk that I could use, I was ready. But First! I’ve had this antique bed sitting in my basement (ahem. My décor room) since October. I’ve been meaning to get it painted for months and put in the guest room, so last week I decided to take this on. Finally. I painted it with the leftover paint I had from my living room remodel. It’s gray. Which shouldn’t be any surprise because my entire house is gray. It really ended up being the perfect color for this bed. It’s gorgeous.

A few hours later, I was able to work a little magic and give this room a much-needed facelift. I still want new bedding and a new rug. And a new ceiling fan. Ugh. Just add it to the enormous list of things I need want. I wish my money tree would bud.

For now though, I love this new bed.
